How Recovery Happens After Hair Transplant?

The recovery after any surgery is an important factor in the success of the procedure. The recovery period after hair transplant needs patience and one should understand that final result takes a long time to manifest.

One should follow the post-procedure instruction to ensure that everything is in place.

Every person has different healing process but certain events are almost universal when one looks into the recovery of the procedure. One of the questions, which are usually asked, is that for how many days I have to take leave from work?

To get back to normal routine it takes around 2-3 days but one can have a little swelling on forehead sometimes so it is better to take 5-7 days off from work.

There is crusting and scabbing in initial 7-10 days which generally goes off with cleaning at a clinic or by gentle rubbing after 10-12 days.

The transplanted hairs start to grow after 3-4 months, initially, they are sparse in density and thin but as the time goes by the transplanted hair gains density and final result takes around 8-10 months.
Till the final result comes one should be patient and do as advised by the treating doctor. It is very important to provide proper care to the donor as well as the recipient area, as this will ensure the healthy growth of transplanted follicles.
